My second issue is a $12,137.00 problem MidFlorida appears to just ignore. I have two Trane units installed in 2017 with a 10-year warranty. Documents from the Builder (Joyal), Trane, and the installation company has verified this. Extreme Air and MidFlorida both have serviced these units with Trane handling all parts under warranty without a problem. On June 6, 2024 one of my Trane units required a technician to diagnose a problem. The Technician indicated a part was required and presented his diagnosis as "he was not sure if the part will fix the problem and the cost was extremely high. He presented this new type unit with newer technology as a replacement at a cost of $12,137.00
We asked about the warranty and was told there was not any warranty on the unit. Respecting his professional option we purchase and had the Trane replaced.
Months later I had a service call on Trane unit number Two. A different Technician diagnosed the problem and provided information of the situation and told me the Trane is still under the warranty and check so was the other Trane unit we had replaced at $12,137. After checking with the Builder, Trane and Installation company everyone indicated the same. February 26,2025 I met with MidFlorida Office Manager to address the situation where I felt we were victims of improper information to make a sale. Of course I'm told the situation will be looked into. March 10, 2025, I called to get an updated with only an offer to spend more money on another maintenance plan with no mention of the $12,137.00 I spent for no reason.
It appears this company has a total disregard for it's customer base of elderly citizens, Veterans and myself as a Retired Law Enforcement Officer. As I am under advisement It appears a legal recourse is in order and hopefully no one else is victimized with this type of unprofessional behavior.
AC purchased July 21. 2022
April 4. 2025. It's now a few months latter. AC went out on Tues 04/02/2024. They came Test. & said no can fix. Needs 2nd tech. No one came Thurs. I called 8 am on Friday. They my be here this afternoon @ 3pm. I remember how good Comfort Experts were. WAITING
